So, God is like a power plant. Power plants produce power (Jesus) and sends it to us (Holy Spirit) to use for things like lighting your house. But God's power (Jesus) is not automatic. We must choose to plug into the receptacle and turn the light on...Oh, it doesn't work? Check the bulb...is it too broken to use?

Our lives without God can work fine for a long time and then...zam!...one day it is broke. What happened? Life...that's what! We live in a broken world and we can expect the brokenness to be a part of us as well. Some of us deal with it daily...some of us are spared almost entirely...but one thing is certain...We must all deal with brokenness from time to time. And that's when I talk to God. It really does help...God Bless!

It was a great evening with Greater Columbus Emmaus Men's Team 69 and Tim's wife Karen visiting us along with The Northern Contingent joining Andy and Amber from Sundays @ Six! And those fantastic little peanut butter cupcakes from Emmaus Team member Jerry and wife Kim! Delicious and Decolores and God bless everyone!

Hoge Memorial Presbyterian is now hosting a "Filling Station" ministry called HM3 once a month. The next service is on Saturday, March 14, at 6 pm! Hoge Memorial is located at the corner of Hague and W. Broad Street in Columbus...

Is this a sign of the times? Would you have ever imagined reading the Saturday newspaper about gasoline shortages causing college football games to be called off? Hurricane Ike, which hit Texas and Louisiana two weeks ago, has dried up gas distribution to the southeast area of the USA! College leaders say if it takes more than a tank of gasoline or diesel to get to your game, you better stay home!!!

What signs do you read today? Are you looking for the one with the Cross on it? It not, it's time...
